Murder City: Detroit - 100 Years of Crime and Violence is a 2008 film which chronicles the story of gang violence in Detroit over the past 100 years and how it has affected the fabric of one of the oldest cities in the midwest. Murder City is filmed documentary style and chronicles the cities notorious criminal past.

The Purple Gang, gangs like the Errol Flynn's, the Young Boys, White Boy Rick, & BMF. It even has stuff a lot of us (real Detroiter) forgot about like the John DeLorean cocaine deal and when that dope fiend beat up Rosa Parks. A great mixture of history, social commentary, and juicy crime stories. A must have for anyone interested in Detroit, crime, or the history of urban American in general!
